White-tailed Kole Tang- Ctenochaetus flavicauda

Key facts:

  • Diet: Primarily algae and detritus; excellent at grazing film algae from rocks and glass

  • Temperament: Generally peaceful, though it may be territorial toward other tangs, especially other bristletooth tangs

Compared with the more common Kole Tang, the White-Tailed Kole Tang has a darker body with a striking white tail and is often considered a bit more uncommon in the aquarium trade.
