Scientific Name: Synanceia verrucosa
Habitat: Shallow coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific region; often found in coral reefs, rocky areas, and sandy/muddy bottoms.
Looks like a lump of rock or coral, covered with wart-like bumps and algae growth.
Colors range from mottled brown, grey, and reddish tones for camouflage.
Average size: 30–40 cm (about 12–16 in), though some can reach over 50 cm.
Possesses 13 sharp dorsal spines capable of injecting venom.
Venom is extremely painful
