Ctenochaetus binotatus is a species of surgeonfish belonging to the family Acanthuridae. It is commonly known as the Twospot surgeonfish or Two-spot bristletooth. This species is found in the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, typically inhabiting coral reefs. Like other surgeonfish, it has a distinctive scalpel-like spine near its tail, which it uses for defense. Ctenochaetus binotatus feeds on algae and detritus, playing an important role in reef ecosystems by contributing to the regulation of algae growth.
