Perch Sculpin
(Pseudoblennius percoides)
This bottom dwelling fish is kinda like a cross between a sandperch a blenny and a sculpin. It lacks a swim bladders and hunts from small organisms like fish and shrimp between the kelp covered rocks along Japan’s coast. It does best if kept in a dimly lit aquarium with good water flow where it can relax and hunt naturally. Not a great community fish as it can be stressed easy. We’ve had success keeping them in 6′ tanks with just a few other larger peaceful fish as accent pieces.
